"...Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in ALL circumstances, for this is God's will for you
in Christ Jesus." 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
Knowing you're not alone.
For the last 7 years my husband and I have struggled with the sometimes crippling disability of infertility. In 2005 I began a journey of what my relatives call "coming to terms" with my unexplained infertility. Through this process I discovered Jewelry making to be a very soothing hobby. After a while, I noticed more and more people asking me where I got 'that bracelet' or 'this pair of earrings'. So as a favor to a few friends I made them jewelry, which in turn, they insisted on paying for. Before I knew it, I had a couple of "steady" customers. Then a thought occurred to me; why not try to sell some things online? So I went to one of the free website designers and well...to make a long story short, it bombed out. Shortly after I got it u and running, I became sick and was unable to maintain it and keep products going.
While I was sick, I was on the internet a lot. And I noticed more people making and selling their own jewelry. Around the same time all those colored rubber bracelets came out...the ones for breast cancer awareness, AIDS awareness, etc. But try as I might, I could never find anything that indicated "Infertility Awareness".
Many families deal with infertility, but when trying to explain that to people who have children you get the same reactions:
"Maybe you're just not meant to be a parent."
"I'll give you one of mine."
"It'll happen just as soon as you stop trying."
And probably the most hated one of all:
"Just relax. It'll happen."
And I thought 'Ya know, maybe if more people were aware of the fact that infertility is a disease and a disability, then perhaps they would be a little more considerate and think before they speak.' I immediately thought of my earlier aborted plan to have a website to display my jewelry. And what better way to get the word out about infertility than by wearing a bracelet of your choice to promote awareness.
Let Infertility Awareness Begin With You
While in the midst of creating different bracelets for women who are also dealing with infertility, the thought occurred to me to make celebration bracelets as well. On this website you will find a wide style selection of bracelets, each one that can be made to order with the colors you choose. Each one will come with a charm, whether it be a sterling silver ribbon charm to symbolize awareness, or something else you'd prefer. When a friend of mine miscarried her first child, she chose to wear a flower charm on her bracelet in memory of her. At Matris Amini Jewelry, you have the option to help create your own tribute to the children that will one day fill your heart and your arms.
For those who have finally overcome infertility, I offer Celebration Bracelets. Celebration Bracelets are for mothers who want to show the world their pride in finally becoming a mother. Celebration Bracelets come with matching earrings and upon demand, necklaces. A Trio Celebration is matching bracelets for the grandmother, mother and daughter. Sold as a set, this is a perfect gift for a wife that is pregnant for the first time with a baby girl.
Why You Should Consider My Product
There are several reasons why you should consider buying my jewelry: 1.) My jewelry is made specifically to order -- you choose the colors. You choose a style.
2.) Your jewelry isn't made until you order it.
3.) You have a wide selection of colors, stones, and closures for your jewelry.
My prices are considerably lower than most other websites you find that sell similar products. And all the profits from them are going towards something very important to many of us with infertility: fertility treatments for me and my husband.
So you see, not only would you be spreading the word about Infertility Awareness, you'd also be helping me accomplish my dream of becoming a mom. I'm ready to hold my own child in my arms and be a mom in real life. Not just 'Matris Amini'.
